Donna Milgram, Executive Director, of the National Institute for Women in
Trades, Technology & Science developed the WomenTechWorld e-Store with the
vision of it being a central clearinghouse for products related to women
in technology, trade, and law enforcement occupations. These products exist
but they are hard to find, so now with a click of the mouse educators, employers
and the women themselves can purchase the products they need in one central
place. WomenTech World e-Store's vision includes facilitating the distribution
of gender equity publications that academics and experts have developed
but are without a means of getting to their intended market.
Some of the products that WomenTechWorld e-Store will carry include:
- Career exploration materials for Educators depicting female role models
in technology occupations
- "How To" gender equity materials for Educators
- Publications for Employers that assist them in supporting women in
male-dominated occupations such as a sexual harassment prevention video
that is police-specific
- Products for the Women themselves such as work boots designed for
women or rosie-the-riveter mugs and t-shirts

www.iwitts.com – IWITTS provides training,
e-strategies, publications and technical assistance nationally to the education
system and employers to integrate women into technology and law enforcement
fields. The IWITTS organizational web site contains 100 pages of content,
including best practice information for educators and law enforcement agencies.
www.womentechworld.org – The
online community for women technicians and female students in community
colleges, packed with biographies and new stories about diverse female role
models. The site also hosts a message board, WomenTech Talk Listserv, and
an e-mentoring section.
